Do you want to get paid to windsurf!?

Food Chain Films <http://www.foodchain.com/> is looking for windsurfers and kiteboarders from the Hood River area to appear in a commercial! The shoot is set to take place THIS FRIDAY, May 31st, between 1:30pm-6:30pm. It should only take a few hours and those selected would be paid $100 – $500 depending on how much they are seen on camera.

A bit about who we are and what the commercial is for…
Food Chain <http://foodchain.com/> is a commercial production company based
in Portland Oregon, we’ve been in business for 15 years and have done work
for everyone from Oregon Lottery, to Columbia Sportswear and Nike. Our
client is North , a local advertising agency. North is the agency for PGE,
Keen, Deschutes Brewery among others.  This project is a TV spot for Cover
Oregon, which is the new state health care exchange that will let
individuals and small business’ shop for health care plans.

This particular spot is about building people’s awareness of the exchange
and letting them know when it will go into effect. We will be shooting
10-12 different scene’s around the state showing the different people and
activities that Oregonian’s love. Loggers, fisherman, Mt Hood, Haystack
rock; all things iconic Oregon. One of those things, of course, is
windsurfing and kiteboarding on the gorge.

Wind in the Gorge!

If you live in the Central Gorge you already know, but the past couple days have been W I N D Y.  This was the first day of the season that it really felt like full on summer in the corridor.  Pros and summer sailors have been cruising into town with big wind and swells on the river.  Check out these photos of some recent action at the Event Site sent to us by local photographer, Michael Peterson:
